Let’s Go Sailing

For both beginners and for intermediate sailors wishing to develop their skills without racing. Beginning Saturday SEPT 12 from 2 - 5pm and running though NOV 14 (10 weeks). Junior Cookout and Campout NOV 14 followed by sailing the next morning.

Cost: $250

Ages: 8 and up.

Prerequisites: None

Opti Racing

For sailors who have mastered basic Opti skills who now wish to race. Beginning Sunday AUG 31 from 1 - 6pm and running through NOV 15 (12 weeks). Participation in the Labor Day Regatta (SEPT 5 and 6) and Gator Bowl Regatta (DEC 5 and 6) is included, together with the Junior Cookout and Campout (NOV 14 and 15).

Cost: $350 for nonmembers, $300 for members.

Ages: 8 and up.

Prerequisite: Solo sailing of a windward/leeward course in an Opti. Prerequisite skills may be evaluated by an instructor during the first meeting.

420 Racing

For sailors who have mastered basic 420 skills as a skipper who now wish to race. Beginning Sunday AUG 31 from 1 - 6pm and running through NOV 15 (12 weeks). Participation in the Labor Day Regatta (SEPT 5 and 6) and Gator Bowl Regatta (DEC 5 and 6) is included, together with the Junior Cookout and Campout (NOV 14 and 15).

Cost: $350 for nonmembers, $300 for members, with a $50 discount for counselors and counselors-in-training.

Ages: 11 and up, based on size and experience.

Prerequisites: Boat handling as a skipper, sailing a windward/leeward course. Prerequisite skills may be evaluated by an instructor in the first meeting.
